About us
Stevens Solicitors are a well established and well respected legal practice with offices in Haverhill, Suffolk and Saffron Walden, Essex. Our family clients are based throughout East Anglia and beyond and we are happy to take instructions from clients abroad as well as those based in the UK.
The firm provides a high quality, personal service at competitive prices. We have a strong commitment to legal aid. We also run a reduced fee scheme for those on a modest income. We are always happy to discuss costs and legal financing first without any obligation to take a matter further.
We cover most areas of family law including:
- Divorce
- Relationship Breakdown
- Separation Agreements
- Finance and Property disputes
- Ante-nuptial (pre-marriage) agreements
- Civil Partnership agreements
- Injunctions and Harassment
- Arrangements for Children
- Care Proceedings
We subscribe to the Resolution Code of Practice and always try to settle family matters in a way which puts the needs of the children first and which allows the parties to retain respect for each other. This may involve working within friendly negotiations between solicitors; through a Court based time-table; or through the Collaborative law process. Where Court proceedings are needed we have a team of solicitor advocates available to represent your interests. We also have a strong Child Care department appearing in Courts throughout East Anglia and representing children, parents and other parties in Care proceedings and other child related matters.
