The highly qualified and experienced family law team at Oglethorpe Sturton & Gillibrand LLP recognise that contemplating or going through a divorce can be a worrying and stressful experience. Our role is to provide you with clear and focused legal advice and to guide you through the legal process. We are here to protect your interest. Our family solicitors will take real care of you and provide a personal service. The solicitor handling your case will take the time to understand the details of your particular situation and deal with it sensitively. We know that the breakdown in a relationship can be emotionally charged and whilst always acting on your behalf we endeavour to take a conciliatory approach and aim to achieve a fair settlement for you.
We advise on the following:
We help individuals from a variety of backgrounds, in particular professionals, those with agricultural issues and owners of small to medium sized businesses in all sectors.
We recognise that legal costs can often be a reason why many do not seek legal advice at a time when it is urgently needed. The recent changes to public funding for family matters since 01 April 2013 mean the scope and eligibility for public funding has changed significantly. Oglethorpe Sturton & Gillbrand LLP offer an initial fixed fee consultation for all family related issues. The meeting will last for approximately 1 hour and will be with one of our highly qualified and experienced family solicitors. The meeting is followed up with a detailed letter of advice from a solicitor, containing specific tailored advice relevant to your case. The charge for the fixed fee consultation and letter is £100 plus VAT and an appointment may be arranged at either our Lancaster or Kirkby Lonsdale offices.
We have full range of funding options available including fixed fees and payment plans and we will be able to discuss these options with you and work to find a suitable solution.
