About us

Founded in 1889, Lees Solicitors is a leading law firm with a team of experts who are specialists in a wide range of legal matters. Our reputation is built on delivering excellent customer service across generations.

We provide a friendly, sensitive and professional service in all aspects of family law. The end of a relationship is without doubt one of the most stressful times for any family, particularly if children are involved. Whatever the circumstances, we can offer legal assistance for families going through all aspects of divorce settlements.

We have three qualified lawyers within the team, Tom Fisher, Jenniffer Skillen and Sarah Fox.

Tom Fisher and Jenniffer Skillen are two of only a few collaborative lawyers based on the Wirral. They can deal with your case through collaborative law, which could mean you could avoid court proceedings altogether.

The family solicitors at Lees can offer extensive advice in the following areas:

  • Divorce - if your marriage has come to an end, our team can help your separation run as smoothly as possible
  • Children - often the most important consideration in any breakup, if the parents cannot agree on contact, residence, etc, these will be decided by the courts
  • Money Issues - can involve ensuring a fair division of financial assets and property
  • Unmarried Couples - helping couples who are not legally married understand their rights in the event of a separation
  • Civil Partnerships - we can assist if you wish to bring an end to your civil partnership
  • Separation Deed - a way for separating married or unmarried couples to sort out the financial side of the break up
  • Domestic Abuse - advice for those who have been on the receiving end of violence or threats of violence from their partner
  • Prenuptial Agreements - increasingly used by couples to help map out what will happen to each other's assets if the marriage breaks down
  • Change of Name Deeds - Lees Solicitors can help you change your name or your child's name promptly

Lees Solicitors offer a fixed fee divorce and a fixed fee finance package for couples who have agreed their divorce between themselves and therefore just need a solicitor to legalise the agreement in writing. We would recommend this service if you both know what outcome you would like and have already agreed on how you wish for your divorce to proceed and how you would like your finances to be split.

We know that a divorce is a very stressful and emotional time. Dealing with money and costs can add further pressure. We want you to feel comfortable and have the peace of mind that the costs are fixed from the beginning. There are no hidden fees and you only receive one bill for the work undertaken on your case. All our costs will be discussed at the initial meeting. For more information on our fixed fee service please call us on 0800 387 927 and ask to speak to a member of our Family Law team.
