"Mental Health is a state of well-being in which the individual realises his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community."
Mental health matters
Young Minds tell us that children's mental health matters.
Children and young people need to feel good about themselves, enjoy relationships, learn confidently and overcome their difficulties.
When they don't, they may be overwhelmed by misery, anger or fear and all kinds of problems can arise. If you are in the process of separating or divorce, please watch out for any problems with your children.
So if you are worried at all about the mental health of a child or young person, phone the helpline on: 0800 018 2138
Open Mondays and Fridays from 10am to 1pm
