Young minds + Royal College of Psychiatrists

"Mental Health is a state of well-being in which the individual realises his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community."

Mental health matters
Young Minds tell us that children's mental health matters.
Children and young people need to feel good about themselves, enjoy relationships, learn confidently and overcome their difficulties.

When they don't, they may be overwhelmed by misery, anger or fear and all kinds of problems can arise. If you are in the process of separating or divorce, please watch out for any problems with your children.

So if you are worried at all about the mental health of a child or young person, phone the helpline on: 0800 018 2138
Open Mondays and Fridays from 10am to 1pm
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1pm to 4pm.
Here you will receive free and confidential information.

Please kindly say that you found them via this site.

Check out their new website at: www.youngminds.org.uk where you can download or order leaflets and find out more. 'I was so relieved when one of the advisors phoned me confidentially and advised me what to do,' said a grandmother who was looking after her grandchild while the mother was in hospital.
